Sofia Ouchou (she/her) is an incoming first-year MSW student at North Carolina State University.

Since receiving her undergraduate degree in Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Sofia has been working with kids and adults in various psychology-related clinical settings. This has included working with adults of different ages performing neuropsychological testing for ADHD, Dementia, post TBI. Sofia previously worked as a sensory motor coach for kids. She also volunteered as Crisis Counselor, and at an ER department providing emotional support.

Sofia has developed a desire to work with adults struggling with anxiety and is excited to continue developing her skills surrounding mental health. As she begins her graduate studies, she is interested in both clinical work and the potential to be involved in advocacy/policy.
Outside of her academic pursuits…
Sofia has an active life. She enjoys connecting with nature as an avid hiker and camper. She also has enjoyed traveling, having been most moved by her trip to Vietnam.


At Project Yes PLLC, Sofia will be…
supporting administrative operations and creating materials for our therapy team. She will also help put together content for client resources, marketing, and assist in scoring assessment instruments. You may end up connecting with Sofia if she calls you from our office, shadows therapy sessions or assists with one of our Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy groups!
In her free time, Sofia likes:
- Cuddling her cat, Cairo
- Playing tennis
- Trying out new baking and cooking recipes
- Spending time in the great outdoors
