Vybhav Jagannath (he/him) is a queer Indian-American singer/songer/doctor-to-be. He is an upcoming graduate of the St. George’s University medical program and a prospective match in Psychiatry and Family Medicine specialties.
He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of South Florida with a dual degree in Psychology and Biomedical Sciences. At SGU, he was part of a team of students that created a branch of the Psychiatry Student Interest Group to allow more access to mental health resources and career paths to prospective medical students. Additionally, he has worked in the Judgment and Decision-Making Lab at the University of South Florida studying the emotional regulation behind addiction and gambling.

completed an eight-week elective at the Manhattan Psychiatric Center working alongside Dr. Jean-Pierre Lindenmayer on a paper examining the effect of esketamine on treatment-resistant depression and psychosis amongst patients in long-term psychiatric facilities. Vybhav’s goal is to work closely with patients deemed ‘difficult,’ such as those with personality disorders, in addition to focusing his efforts on shining light on mental health advocacy in the queer and Asian communities.

specialize in either Family Medicine or Psychiatry, with special attention to incorporating therapeutic practices into his treatment plans. He will be applying and interviewing for residency placement in the 2023-2024 academic year.
For Vybhav, the intersectionality of his queer and Indian-American identities has been a source of his strength in the past few years. He hopes to provide “even an ounce of that security and comfort” to his future clients.” Outside of that, his dogs and his family are what are most important to him.

administrative tasks and helping with materials to be used within the practice and for public education. He will also shadow sessions and assist with contacting clients, so there’s a chance you’ll have contact with him and hear his cheerful voice!

- Hiking in the mountains
- Spending time with family and friends
- Exploring new restaurants
- Travelling to exciting and unexplored destinations
